Are you planning on taking a trip to the mysterious land called Egypt? If you are, you may already have a few things in mind for your trip. Whilst the country is mainly desert, there are still loads of fun things to see and do. Ancient Egypt has a wealth of history and culture. If you are hoping to learn a bit about history, this country is the right place for you. Here to ensure that you make the most of your trip is your bucket list. Here are ten things you have to do while you’re in the country.
1. Ride a camel
Most popular destinations in Egypt offer camel rides. You can likely book a ride through your hotel or at a tourist information point. The rides don’t tend to be too expensive, but you pay by the hour and so you should keep this in mind. When riding a camel, there are a few things you should know. Make sure that you wear long clothes, and you cover your legs when on a camel. Listen to your tour guide and do what he says. Trust your camel, if you start to work against your camel, he will work against you and might throw you off.
2. See the Great Sphinx of Giza
You must not miss the Great Sphinx of Giza when you are on your trip. The statue has a lion’s body and a human head. There are many rumors about the limestone statue, but nobody knows the truth of its history. If you ask around, you will hear many stories about the statue, but most are fabrications. You can find the beginning of one story written on the Sphinx itself. The story is about a prince who helped to uncover the Sphinx. Half of the story has gone, and so no one knows what happened to the prince.
3. Go diving in the Red Sea
If you are a fan of sports, you must visit the Red Sea. There you can dive off the coast and see some beautiful sea life in the reef. Many tourists dive into the Red Sea every year, and it is safe to do so as long as you have an instructor with you. Make sure that you follow any safety rules so that you don’t put yourself in danger. Some people take waterproof cameras with them so that they can get exclusive photographs.
4. Take a cruise on the Nile
If you are not sure where to stay in Egypt, why not take a tour? You can book a cruise on the Nile for a few nights. The cruise will give you a chance to see Egypt and enjoy some relaxation time. You can see many of the ancient attractions when you take a cruise, as it allows you to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Make sure you book your cruise far in advance to save money. Cruises on the Nile tend to be popular, and so many companies charge more depending on when you book.

When you are in Egypt, you might well tire of Egyptian food. The cuisine in the country is worth trying, but it can be a little much for westerners. If you’re not a fan of lamb or rice, you will find it hard to get a dish that you enjoy in the country. Luckily, there are takeout companies all over the world. It is easy to order pizza in Egypt, and so you don’t need to worry. If you have had enough of Egyptian cuisine, you should take a break. Enjoy some comfort food and stay in for the night.

The array of drinks available in Egypt is astonishing. While you are in the country, you should make sure that you try one of the many drinks that the place has to offer.
