Fresh from our runaway camp in Borawan Island, we headed directly to Hinguiwin Falls without any idea what to see, what to encounter in the trail, and what to expect. Breakfast at Baler’s rolling storeWe extended our contract with Kuya Erwin and Bernie and paid ₱100 less, as a discount. The two Diguisit Falls are only two of the four falls to check in Baler and its neighboring towns. Yes – Diguisit falls has two versions and both are comprised of more than three contiguous cascades breaking through the large boulders. The only difference is the volume of the flow wherein the smaller one has significantly thinner down-flow. The distance between the two falls is just few hundred meters. Aside from surfing, people visit Baler to see other natural attractions. One of them is the Ditumabo Falls which sits on a hill in San Luis, a neighboring municipality. Ditumabo Falls is popularly known as Mother Falls because it is the biggest of the four falls around Baler. The other three are: Caunayan, Diguisit, and another Diguisit falls, which is smaller. Katibawasan Falls is located 5 kilometers away from the town center of Mambajao and sits at the foot of Mount Timpoong, the highest peak in Camiguin Island. It measures 250 ft. (76 meters) and plummets to a pool surrounded with lush greeneries. We headed to the falls after dipping for almost two hours in the waters around the White Island. It was a long steep travel for a 5-kilometer distance. We noticed that the surrounding of the falls were already developed for tourists. We found a lot of souvenir shops along the entrance.
