Ms S, a mother, often made a squabble with his elder teenage sons. Witnessing Crucifixions and Penitence in San Pedro Cutud, Pampanga
I jestingly invited my friends to witness the live crucifixions and penitential rites in San Pedro Cutud an eve prior to the village’s annual Lenten programs. Unknowingly, one of them ( Mico) had seriously taken the invitation. Since I was prying too of seeing these individuals nailed on the cross, I set our rendezvous and met at 9:00AM (which was previously scheduled at 11:00AM). It was pesky knowing that Genesis Bus in Pasay has suspended its travel operations during Good Friday, so we walked further and tried Five Star Bus in Tramo Street. Unfortunately, they had no trips going or ... Read more
The Mountains’ Greatest Nightmare
If I am a mountain, then this would be my greatest nightmare. Unfortunately, for the few mountains I saw in the not so distant past, this had become a bold reality they were and are currently facing. Eight years ago when I attended the Regional Schools’ Press Conference in Bohol when I saw mountains which sides are being sliced to mine limestones. And just recently, I witnessed the same disturbing fate. Two Sierra Madre hills were being carved and a mountain in Baguio had lost its natural grandeur. What made me more upset seeing these unusual sceneries was that, machines ... Read more
Some Random Facts about Chief Justice Corona’s Impeachment
Following every session of the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Corona is a lot more thrilling for me than watching every episode of telenovela series on primetime. There are lot of things to anticipate and lot of events you could hardly forecast to occur. Unlike telenovelas in which you can always predict what is going to happen on the next episodes, the impeachement trial is unscripted and in real time with real characters in real circumstances. There are no rooms for predictions but there are lot of angles to view for inferences or conclusions. The impeachment trial is filled with real life ... Read more
Grammar Rule on Serial Comma
This is my first article about grammar and the intenti0n is just to share and not start another blogging niche. Because of some sort of confusion with my colleagues, I searched on what are the actual usage of serial comma. I am not an English major but I am doing writing works; aside for this blog, I am making a living as a technical writer. What is a serial comma? Serial comma, also known as series comma or final comma, is a comma placed before the coordinating conjunction such as and, or, and sometimes nor. For instance, the phrase – ... Read more

Tsunami Alert is Causing Panic to Negros Oriental Folks
An intensity 6.7 earthquake struck 10 kilometers off the coast of Tayasan town in Negros Oriental at 11:49AM, February 6, 2012. Other reports said 6.8, 6.9, and even intensity 7.0 in Dumaguete City and I have completely no idea which report is saying the exact figure. A tsunami warning was raised after the said quake which had caused panic to the residents which, I believe, was lifted at 2:30PM today. And for an individual like me whose family reside in the affected area was to get an assurance of their safety. I am receiving text messages from my Mom that they ... Read more
The Rebirth of Ichigo’s Shinigami Powers
What I like most with Tite Kubo is the LOGIC behind all the stories. If what unveils Ichigo’s power is by cutting him with a Shinigami’s Zanpaktou, why not cut him again. Of course it can’t be done when Ichigo has no ability to sense reatsu, an ability he lost along with his powers when he uses the Final Getsuga Tenshou technique during his battle with Sosuke Aizen. For those who just follow the manga chapters, his powers weren’t lost immediately. In fact, he was able to use it with the unfinished anime filler, the mod souls. Inaba Kageroza was ... Read more
There is no safe place, only safe practice
Jan Beranek of Greenpeace quoted; “There is always a risk that either the technology or the nuclear materials can fall into the wrong hands”, on the new energy alternative called nuclear fusion which uses water and/or its isotopes as fuel and convert it to an extravagant amount of energy and in turn, power. Wikipedia defines; Nuclear fusion is the process by which two or more atomic nuclei join together, or “fuse”, to form a single heavier nucleus. This is usually accompanied by the release or absorption of large quantities of energy. Fusion is the process that powers active stars, the ... Read more
