The Philippines’ largest broadcast networks had brought home awards from the recently concluded New York Festivals. New York Festivals is an annual event that give honors the best television and film productions all over the world.
GMA Network bagged 3 Silver Medals for Front Row: Bente Dos Episode, Front Row: Yaman sa Basura Episode (both shown on GMA News TV), and I-Witness: Lapnos episode. The network was also honored with 6 Finalist Certificates for Report Card, Born to be Wild: Born Expeditions Finale The Monster of Mae Klong and the Great White Shark episode, I-Witness: Gintong Putik, Pluma: Si Rizal ang Dakilang Manunulat (GMA News TV), Reel Time: Lusong (GMA News TV), and Reel Time: Tira (GMA New TV).
Meanwhile, GMA’s greatest rival ABS-CBN, didn’t disappoint its followers by winning a bronze medal (for Krusada: Laya episode) and four finalist certifications (for Storyline, Rated K: Kwento ng Buhay Ko, TV Patrol: Storm Juaning coverage, and EDSA25: Sulyap sa Kasaysayan.
Associated Broadcasting Company with its flagship station TV5 also received finalist certificates for Wanted: Child Special and News 5 Debates: A Challenge for Change.
