Things to Do in Islas de Gigantes
Sitting in the northeastern tip of Panay Island, Islas de Gigantes is making a buzz among backpacking enthusiasts—seemingly inclining its trend towards popularity. The once unknown is making its name to the list of Philippine scenic destinations—competing with other new comers on the rise. I can’t say its virgin since the locals had long been scouting its beautiful territories before any outsiders do. Islas de Gigantes is comprised of two main island groups namely: Gigantes Norte and Gigantes Sur. The lighthouse erects in Gigantes Norte and is the home to Baquitan and Baquitan Cave, Langub beach, and Gigantes National Museum. ... Read more
Scallop and Seafood Feast at Isla de gigantes
We stayed at Gigantes Hideaway Resort during our tour in Gigantes Islands. For 200 pesos a day, we were nested in a nipa hut accommodation (good for 3) with comfy bedding (but don’t expect too much) and a common CR/bathroom. We are talking about rural accommodation here, so expect mosquitoes to ruin your sleep (you know what to do to counter them). Brgy. Aluman’s shore is covered with scallop shells instead of sand or pebbles. Aside from the island’s main attractions such as the island and beach hopping, spelunking, lighthouse viewing, etc, the other thing that we enjoyed during the ... Read more

One of the famous stops of Isla de Gigantes Island Hopping is the Salt Water Lagoon in the south of Gigantes Islands. Locals call it Tangke. Tanke is the featured photo from our recent Trip to Iloilo. Saltwater Lagoon (Tangke), Isla de Gigantes Sur, Carles Iloilo
Villa Paraiso Resort Camiguin: The Experience
As the trip’s organizer, I should make sure that my companies get the utmost comfort at a cheaper price. Months before our actual trip to Camiguin, I had been researching for hotels or resorts in the island which features, rates, and services meet the group’s requirements – until I stumble to the website of Villa Paraiso Resort. I wasn’t impressed at first because of the dull design of their online page and they’re not even responsive to emails (you really have to call them for advance booking). I was interested on their dormitory type accommodation, wherein, for PhP3,000, it can ... Read more

The eruption of Mt. Vulcan in 1871 destroyed most of the town of Catarman and even sunk some of its portions beneath the sea. One of those area was the cemetery. The marker was placed to commemorate both those who were already resting in peace and those who lost their lives during the tragedy. This marker of the sad past had become a tourist attraction in Camiguin. Camiguin Sunken Cemetery Marker

Sagada Tour Day 3: Kiltepan Sunrise and Walking Tour
I had been busy the past few weeks so I wasn’t able update the blog. I also spent my past weekends to either movie marathon or quick getaways, thus all my travel logs are piling up. There are so much to write, so I really need to catch up. The fact that I was able to document our adventure in Sagada means that we hadn’t met our demise during the cave connection, the main highlight of tour. Kiltepan Viewpoint Sunrise But I couldn’t simply belittle our activities on the third day. Though tired from the spelunking activity the day before, ... Read more
