Vigan, More Elegant at Night
I spent the second day of my Ilocos tour in Vigan. I’ll soon share my entire experience and itinerary in the next few days. From Laoag, where my hotel is located, I rode an ordinary bus to Vigan. The bus left at 7AM and arrived in the heritage city passed 9:30AM. I got off along Quezon Avenue in Front of Vigan City Hall (a block just across Ilocos Sur Provincial Capitol). Father Burgos Museum wood carvings display Though not familiar with the place (since it was my first time in the city), I confidently walked to look for Calle Crisologo – where you can ... Read more
Warning! Email Recruitment Scam
Receiving a pay of 13,000 to 14,000 a month for a 3 hours a day and 5 days a week of work is really enticing. I received an email a day ago from writers@platehead.com offering internet marketing assistants, virtual assistants, and web content writers/copywriters jobs with such rate. For an offer that is so good to be true, we have to check for fraud possibility. I tried to verify from the website regarding the email but what I saw in their homepage is the same copy of the email I got stating that it was an email scam. If you ... Read more

jQuery Colorbox: The Best Image Zooming Plugin for WordPress Blogs
Photography is one of the new niches that I got interested recently and I would like to share some of my photos using this blog. Unfortunately, my post column width is too small to show large images. The tendency is to re-size the image and fit it into the narrow post column, and link the images to its direct URL which shows its original sizes. By doing this, your blog visitor will have to leave the site just to see the original image size or if you use target=”_blank” html code, images are shown in new window once clicked – ... Read more
Bonawon: Some Little History
Early residents of the barangay mostly believed that Barangay Bonawon comes from the Visayan word Bugnawon, which means bugnaw nga panahon or cold yet comforting weather. On the other hand, the Parish Priest of Siaton, Rev. Father Joaquin Gonzales, states that Bugnawon means peaceful minds of the residents or locally, bugnaw ang huna-huna sa mga lumulupyo. But whatever historical beginnings you believe, there is only one thing that we are sure about, that whoever stays in the barangay will truly find comfort.
