Club Paradise Palawan: A Beautiful Coexistence of Nature and Luxury

Containing an excitement is like moving a mountain, especially if the cause of the excitement is something that may quench your insatiable thirst for adventure.

Visions of Wonders are beautiful distractions

The thought of seeing immense limestone massifs, stunning white sand strips, fascinating underwater wonders, and verdant islands in one sweep is an overwhelming idea for a poor wanderlust to handle.

Not to mention, the host is one of the countries most respected player in the luxury resort business. Staying in Club Paradise Palawan is another enthralling reason to get agitated with excitement.

The beautiful beachfront of Dimakyat Island

As the travel date was getting closer and closer, a marquee of postcard photos of Palawan constantly rolled like persistent apparitions. And then if I close my eyes, they became more startling and apparent. Though persistent, those visions were beautiful distractions. They served as a temporary escape from the boring, sedentary routines.

Cebu Pacific Air flew us to where the wonders are

Cebu Pacific Air, in celebration of its inaugural flight to Busuangua, flew us to Coron, Palawan for us to experience what the country’s last ecological frontier has to offer. Since it was a maiden flight, we got a chance to experience the water canon salute. Awesome!

When we were flying close to Busuanga Airport, the magical wonders unravelled from the plane’s window. Rolling hills and fascinating ridges bedecked the landscape. Endless azure and crystal-clear water surrounded it, while stunning white beaches adorned the edges.

Club Paradise Palawan, the eden of our dreams

Upon arrival, the resort’s airport pick up team greeted us with enthusiasm, Kuya Cards more particularly. It was the start of the warm, well curated welcome.

We hopped on a van to Decalachao Port, and then transferred to a speedboat that brought us to Dimakyat Island, the home base of our hospitable host, Club Paradise Palawan.

Paraiso 2 speedboat, the resort’s flagship boat for island transfer.

The resort is literally sitting in a paradise, where both man and nature coexisted and thrived. Shy monitor lizards cross pathways unharmed, huge fruit bats hang on the canopy undisturbed, night herons glide around unflustered, asian glossy starlings chirp infinitely unminded, and hawksbills swim unworried.

EcoConserve is an integral part of the brand promise

With environmental sustainability in mind, common areas such as the Fire Fish Restaurant, Dugong Bar, and the reception were all al fresco. The resort harness natural resources, including the sea breeze and natural light to provide ventilation and luminance. Electric fans were turned on only if absolutely necessary.

Single-use plastic is discouraged in the island. A decent supply of drinking water are provided to guests in reusable glass bottles.

In addition, the resort owns a farm dubbed as Taranuman, where most of the ingredients used in the kitchen were being sourced. The food scraps, in return, are used as organic fertilizers.

All the those practices are all part of Club Paradise Palawan’s commitment to environmental protection. The sustainability project is called EcoConserve.
